countdown.

My countdown has officially begun. Ben gets to DC in one month! We are in the middle of a two month stretch of no visits, but now that we are past the halfway point, I can't wait. We have talked a big game about all the stuff we are going to do this summer, so I am starting to get serious about summer planning...one month to go!

I am absolutely enthralled and amazed by bridges. You can ask people. I love them. Walking, driving, training over them, all the same. There is just something so captivating and beautiful about bridges, not to mention, bridges like the Brooklyn and Golden Gate just astound me. So, getting to the point of this post, you can imagine how thrilled I was to discover this Flickr album by the San Francisco Public Library. It is a whole album filled with pictures of the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge starting in 1933. They are incredible. It is such an odd picture to see the water without the Bridge and the vantage points from above make me anxious just seeing the heights. Here are some of the images below...amazing right?!

Oh man, this blue and white striped coat keeps calling my name! Saw it on pinterest this morning and just tracked it back to Kate Spade. 

In an effort to find similar styles for a cheaper price-tag, here is another from Tommy Hilfiger. I think my crush on all things striped is now a full blown infatuation!

I am obviously bias and will never hide that fact, but this Hillary-loving piece in Elle is particularly great. You should read it if you haven't already!

Ben and I have some weddings coming up this summer, so I am on the search for a couple dresses! And, thanks to some friends last night, I have just learned about BHLDN. It is basically Anthropologie's wedding store. Granted it is more for the big day, but they do have dresses for the party goers as well. Of course, it's Anthropologie, so its expensive but take a look at some samples I pulled for you!

Alison and I went to Boqueria last night for a first taste since they opened in Dupont a couple weeks ago. All in all, it has real potential. The restaurant is still working out some of the kinks, but we had a great time. The layout is great and there was good energy. My sangria, not minding the 15 minute wait at the bar, was solid. We tried the Pan con Tomate, Patatas Bravas, Albondigas (meatballs), and a shrimp dish. The Patatas and Albondigas were pretty good, the other two needed some more work. So, I would say wait a couple more weeks and then head in to try it out.
