kitchened out.

It was a very full weekend! Here is Part I. On Saturday morning, Ben and I grabbed brunch with my brother, Marc and sister-in-law Kathey, and my three nieces - Ada, Cora and Brooke. It was great, in spite of the brutal temperatures!

After, we drove up to Baltimore with Erin and Josh for a night out. I can't do justice to the dinner out that we had, it was just that fantastic. In fact, I am not really going to try all that hard except to tell you the facts. Here we go....

Remember that post on Woodberry Kitchen a while back? Probably not. I don't blame you, that was back in February. (Click here for a refresher on it.) Anyway, a dinner out in Baltimore at Woodberry Kitchen was my graduation gift from Ben. Very sweet, right?! Upon arrival and after dropping our bags at the hotel, we stopped by the inner harbor and then we headed to a bar that Erin knew about, The Brewer's Art. It was on Federal Hill in an old townhouse and very cool.

My favorite part was this bar and the fireplace behind it. Loved it!

After a quick drink, we headed off to Woodberry Kitchen, just west of Hampden. We pulled up to the restaurant and already knew we were in for a good night. The building itself is in an old factory building. It is also across the street from a gorgeous grotto pool that you really just have to see for your own eyes. The inside of the restaurant is incredibly done. It has an industrial, rugged feel to it and they didn't try to refine the interior too much. We sat upstairs, in what we are sure is the best table in the house (table #86 if you really want to know!).

The rest of the night is a blur of great food. Ben worked his magic and became fast friends with most of the staff and manager.

 Our cocktails were brilliantly mixed.

They brought us these unbelievable deviled eggs (I don't even like deviled eggs!) and popcorn on the house.

The manager also insisted we try this bottle of wine even though it was over the price we could pay and took off some of the price so we could enjoy it!

And, the night did not slow down. Among other things, we had this flat bread, pork sausage, a ribeye, chicken & biscuits...

And finally, they added a couple of desserts to our order, so we ended up in total, with a sampling of five desserts!
It was incredible. But, the best part was the service. We had a fantastic waiter, Brett, loved the manager, Marco, and were beyond impressed with the whole operation. Even the faucets in the bathroom were cool enough to notice!

Truly a meal to remember and we can't recommend it highly enough!
