eddie adams good stuff.

Unfortunately, this is my last post for a bit. As much as I love using "all" of you, my readers, as a brilliant tool for procrastination...I am going underground for the next couple weeks. I trust you will do just fine without this daily dose.

But, I leave you with the below news! There is a new photo exhibition through May out at BWI (no idea why anyone would choose BWI?). It is sponsored by the RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights and their Speak Truth to Power series. The exhibition is showcasing photos from one of the most brilliant yet understated photographers, Eddie Adams. So, if you are flying out, in or through any time between now and May, go take a look. I would almost just fly someplace as an excuse to see it.

Adams has taken some of the most iconic and devastating photos we know. He won the Pulitzer prize for this photo in Vietnam of Vietnamese General Nguyen Ngoc Loan executing a Viet Cong lieutenant at point-blank range.

His work in Vietnam spanned far beyond this one photo and played a critical role in telling the story of what was happening in the war through his photography. His Vietnam photos are of obvious interest to me but he has an untold number of brilliant photos, including of countless profiles, celebrities, leaders, and places. He captured people and moments like few ever have and he used his talents to change the world.
