Ben and I have been in somewhat of a mad scramble to figure out some August vacation. Here's the thing, we have Walloon in our heads as the standard and it is impossible to meet that. But, we are very lucky because Ben's good friend, Dave, invited us to come up to his father's house in Lake George for a couple days. And we are hoping to tack on a couple more days somewhere in upstate. However, it is peak season up there and our pickings are slim. We should hopefully have good news on that soon. In the meantime, and getting to the point of all this, look at this fantastic place, Kinderhook Farm, I came across yesterday in the search. We want to be near some water but how great is it?! Gorgeous and simple and peaceful and cows right outside! We are bookmarking this one for a future date!
