I am absolutely enthralled and amazed by bridges. You can ask people. I love them. Walking, driving, training over them, all the same. There is just something so captivating and beautiful about bridges, not to mention, bridges like the Brooklyn and Golden Gate just astound me. So, getting to the point of this post, you can imagine how thrilled I was to discover this Flickr album by the San Francisco Public Library. It is a whole album filled with pictures of the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge starting in 1933. They are incredible. It is such an odd picture to see the water without the Bridge and the vantage points from above make me anxious just seeing the heights. Here are some of the images below...amazing right?!
