Almost forgot to report back that I went to the newly opened Coupe up in Columbia Heights. I forgot to take pictures while I was there, but all in all, a cool space. Owned by the creators of Tryst, Open City and the Diner, it is obviously in that family of restaurants but still has its own personality. Big space, comfortable chairs, long bar, and good food. It is also open 24 hours. It kind of mixes a coffee shop culture with a restaurant. And, as a quick aside, that block had a number of very cool looking places. Looks like Red Rocks Pizza and Meridian Pint were just the start. Short story, I liked it.
