gamed out.

Reporting back on the Board Room. This is the new bar just north of Dupont Circle and the concept is all about playing board games. Alison, Nasim, Emily, Roy and I went on Saturday night and the reviews are mixed. The concept is great. The downstairs is well done, a good size bar with a cool monopoly design on it. There is a nice exposed brick wall and two great tables at the very front with a checkers board design. The upstairs, well not so much. The tables are really low, especially for playing games and it felt like an afterthought. We actually went up there and then decided to come back downstairs. So, our advice would be to reserve one of the two front tables and you will have a great time! Also of note, they don't serve food but you can bring in your own. And, if you show your receipt next door at Flippin' Pizza they give you 20% off!

And of course, the board games are great. Pick your favorite childhood game and they likely have it for you. We ended up just playing cards but every game you can think of was being played!
