Scott is in town for a visit this weekend! It has been 3+ very long years since we last saw each other. I can't believe it. He is my best friend.
We survived middle school together, pulled each other through the trials of high school, supported each other from a distance in college, and plunged into the deep end of post-college life as the best of friends. Since graduating we overlapped in New York and have both been in and out of the country a good deal. Most recently, Scott was in the Peacecorps in Indonesia and just finished in June. While he figures out what to do next, he is also making pit-stops to visit people and DC made the short-list.
So, we are trying to catch up on three years of life passings, eat well, be tourist and guide, and maybe get to a movie for old times sake!
