Walking around the main square in Sonoma this morning, almost everything was closed except for the Lisa Kristine gallery. Ben and I wandered through absolutely captivated by the images. Kristine is a humanitarian photographer based out of San Francisco. Her photographs are about people, and landscapes, and cultures. The colors are so sharp words can't describe. Clearly she is not just taking the photos but from the eyes and expressions has fostered relationships and understanding of the people. Most recently, her work focused on documenting modern day slavery. She has several books, The Intimate Expanse, One Breath, Slavery, and several others. Simply breathtaking.
